Relma M. Miller – Managing Member

Relma is a founding member of MacDonald & Miller Mineral Legal Services, PLLC. Her practice focuses on oil and gas and mining law. She has extensive experience in title examination of fee, federal, state and Indian lands, and administrative practice before the Utah Board of Oil, Gas and Mining, the North Dakota Industrial Commission and the Interior Board of Land Appeals. Prior to earning her J.D. degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Law, she earned a B.S. in mining engineering technology from the University of Southern Indiana (formerly Indiana State University, Evansville). Her real-world experience in industry includes work as a drilling and blasting supervisor at a surface coal mine in Southern Indiana and later in the Engineering Department of the Indiana Public Service Commission. Prior to forming MacDonald & Miller Mineral Legal Services, PLLC, Relma was a shareholder of the Salt Lake City natural resources law firm of Pruitt Gushee, PC and Denver-based Beatty & Wozniak, PC.
Relma is a member of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation and the Utah and American Association of Professional Landmen. She is admitted to practice in Utah, Colorado, North Dakota and Kentucky, and before the U.S. District Courts of Utah and Kentucky.
Relma enjoys bicycling, skiing Utah’s “greatest snow on earth” and is an avid basketball fan, particularly of the Kentucky Wildcats and Utah Jazz.
